Last week, we welcomed customers, partners, and intelligence professionals to Prague for the fourth GraphAware Bridge Meetup.
Bridge has always been one of my favourite events in the GraphAware calendar. It brings together people solving some of the hardest intelligence and investigative challenges, creating space for honest conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and where the industry is heading.
This year’s event felt particularly significant.
Not only were we celebrating GraphAware’s 13th birthday, but we were also marking the start of a new chapter as Neo4j acquired GraphAware.
Naturally, that announcement became part of many conversations throughout the event. But what struck me most wasn’t the discussion of the acquisition itself. It was how many of the conversations across both days spoke directly to why this next chapter makes sense.

Complexity is growing
One thing that came through consistently across presentations, workshops, and discussions was that intelligence organisations are operating in increasingly complex environments.
Despite all the advances in technology, the fundamental challenge remains remarkably consistent: helping analysts turn fragmented information into trusted intelligence.
Whether discussions focused on entity resolution, investigative workflows, identity intelligence, or operational decision-making, the same pattern emerged repeatedly. Success depends on understanding context and connections.
That’s exactly why graph technology continues to play such an important role.
The conversation around AI is maturing
Artificial intelligence featured prominently throughout the event.
From our own discussions around the future of GraphAware Hume to conversations with customers and partners, there was plenty of excitement about what AI can enable.
What I found encouraging, however, was the maturity of those conversations. The focus wasn’t on replacing analysts. It was on helping analysts work more effectively and equipping them to take advantage of the opportunities AI creates.
Our workshop on document intelligence generated particularly valuable discussions around how natural language interactions can help analysts work with large volumes of information, while still maintaining transparency, traceability, and confidence in the results.
Across the board, there was broad agreement on one point: trust matters.
Intelligence organisations need to understand where answers come from, how conclusions are reached, and how information can be verified. AI has enormous potential, but only when built on foundations that support those requirements.
The graph beneath the AI
Another theme that surfaced repeatedly throughout the event was the importance of connected data foundations.
Before organisations can effectively apply AI, they need confidence in the data and relationships that underpin it. That means knowing who is who, connecting information across sources, maintaining context, and being able to explain how you got there.
In many ways, the rise of AI is making graph technology more important, not less.
As intelligence workflows evolve, the need for connected, explainable data foundations only grows. Graphs are uniquely positioned to provide that foundation.
Listening to these discussions reinforced why GraphAware and Neo4j are coming together now. The challenges our customers face increasingly require both a strong graph foundation and the ability to help analysts make sense of complex information at scale.
Learning from our partners
Bridge has always been about bringing together different perspectives, and this year’s event was no exception.
I want to thank our partners at Neo4j, Redhorse, Enterprise Knowledge, and Senzing for contributing their expertise, insights, and experiences throughout the event.
From identity intelligence and entity resolution to AI architecture and operational deployment, the breadth of expertise in the room was a reminder that no single technology solves intelligence challenges alone. Progress happens when different perspectives come together around a shared goal.
The next chapter
When I wrote about our acquisition by Neo4j, I spoke about alignment around technology, customers, and a shared belief in the power of connected data. Spending two days at Bridge only deepened that conviction.
The themes we discussed throughout the event, such as trusted intelligence, explainable AI, connected data foundations, and operational resilience, are exactly the challenges we want to help our customers solve. Together with Neo4j, we’re in a stronger position to do that.
Before I finish, I want to thank everyone who made Prague Bridge 2026 possible. The customers who shared their experiences openly, the partners who contributed their expertise, and the GraphAware team who put so much work into bringing it together.
Thirteen years ago, GraphAware started with a belief that connected data could help people solve complex problems. After everything we discussed in Prague, I believe that now more strongly than ever.
Looking back on those two days, I can’t think of a better moment to begin this next chapter.
