Growing Interest in Graph Technology Among the Security Community

· 2 min read

We had an illuminating time at the ISS Europe conference in Prague 2024. We connected with numerous new prospects from various countries, all recognising the necessity of graph-based criminal analysis. The feedback was clear: while this approach was a novelty two years ago, it has now become a hot topic, with GraphAware Hume leading the charge thanks to our established references in law enforcement and intelligence.

Booth and Training Session

Our booth was a hub of activity: attendees were particularly interested in our training session on using Large Language Models (LLMs) within graph analytics tools to extract knowledge graphs from unstructured investigation reports.

Speaking Sessions

Case Study from a police force in Australia This session highlighted how the police force in Australia revolutionised crime analysis using graph-based intelligence. By addressing the challenge of siloed data, they uncovered hidden insights and set a benchmark for other police forces globally. Their success story showcased how the answer to solving crimes critically lies within the data.

Using Graph Technology to Improve Crime Investigations Our second presentation focused on the broader applications of graph technology in crime investigations. We discussed its effectiveness in managing high-volume crimes, offender monitoring, financial crime, and organised crime due to its ability to map complex networks. These sessions underscored the growing importance of graph-based criminal analysis, a trend gaining traction as more data becomes available and needs effective integration.

Networking and Engagement

On the second day, we hosted a Grill n’ Chill meetup for our partners, analysts, and friends. Set against the backdrop of historical Prague, attendees enjoyed excellent Czech craft beer and delicious grilled food, making it a night of great conversations and enjoying time together.

Special Thanks

A big thank you to everyone who made ISS World Europe week a success! We appreciate all who attended our sessions, visited our booth, and joined us at the Grill n’ Chill evening. Your engagement and enthusiasm were truly inspiring!

Let’s stay connected and continue to find the truth in data together.
